As we are all aware, many businesses have been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on our lives and economy. Yet, alongside this, there are certain companies that have been in a position to not only continue operating but to continue to grow; benefiting from business structures that easily transition to home working. Many creative technology companies and studios have been able to continue operations through the pandemic, utilising their innovation to adapt their business plans and not just survive, but to thrive.

In June, Creative Growth Finance made £1million of investments into two creative companies to help them realise their growth ambitions.

Moonraker VFX is a Graphic and Visual Effects studio based in Bristol, which has built a strong local and international reputation with producers and broadcasters creating award winning visual effects content for Television, Film, Commercials, Museums and Visitor attractions.

We’re proud to be part of this incredibly talented and creative team’s story, and we’ve been particularly impressed with the diligent way that they have responded to the Covid-19 crisis, and the quality of their creative product.

This follows our recent announcement of a £500,000 investment into games studio FuturLab. FuturLab is a Brighton-based independent games studio best known for their award-winning Velocity series. Established since 2003, the talented team has produced 11 original games across multiple platforms, working with some of the biggest names in the industry including EA and Playstation.

We’re delighted that we’ve been able to work with Futurlab to fund their innovative work and support their continued growth.

The Creative Growth Finance Debt Fund exists to inject capital into established creative businesses to realise their growth plans and potential; we are looking forward to providing more funding to support UK creative businesses’ growth ambitions.
