Be More Bristol brought a day of high profile thought leadership keynotes, showcases & panel discussions exploring our theme of the day ‘Fiercely Independent’ for tastemakers, creative industries’ business & local government leaders. The event gave a platform to creative talent in the region with SME showcases, local companies discussing their work and an opportunity for Creative England to connect with the great and the good in the region.

Silas Adekunle, Co-Founder of Reach Robotics shares his inspirational story of establishing his company in Bristol, to creating the world’s first gaming robot MekaMon.

Prof. Jonathan Dovey from the University of the West of England joins us to discuss the multi-million pound investment from the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s (AHRC) Creative Industries Clusters Programme, to support, connect and amplify the brilliant work that takes place in the region.

A thought-leading discussion addressing the challenges creative businesses face with access to finance. Panellists include Mark Mason MBE (Bristol Private Equity), Kathy Gromotka (Downing Ventures), Mark Panay (SimpleWeb), Tim Levett (NVM Private Equity) and Mehjabeen Patrick (Creative England), chaired by Stuart Rock (ScaleUp Institute).
