The Goob

A long hot summer in rural Norfolk and a rough coming of age for Goob Taylor, fighting with womanizing stock car racer Gene Womack for his mother’s attention, and falling for the exotic charms of a field worker. Written and directed by Guy Myhill and produced by Lee Groombridge and Mike Elliott.

The Goob was financed by iFeatures and filmed on location in Norfolk. It premiered in competition at Venice Days and won awards at BIFA, Stockholm and Dinard.

Guy Myhill previously made film and visuals for Hoi Polloi Theatre Company leading to two Edinburgh Festival Gold awards, a long-term residency at the Barbican and international tours.
